A very busy time of year!
There's always something going on at Uffington!
The past two weeks have been crammed with exciting learning opportunities: Years 5 and 6 explored local archaeology at the West Deeping gravel extraction site and, yesterday, the Reception and KS1 children visited Hamerton Zoo.
Reception and Key Stage 1 led a very special act of worship on the theme of Thankfulness in church last week; it was so lovely to be joined by a number of parents, friends and relations.
Uffington staff organised the Stamford and District Athletics meeting last week which gave children across the town to compete in inter-school sport and there are a number of intra-school sporting events including the swimming gala, Sports Day and inter-house matches between now and the end of term.
Years 5 and 6 enjoyed a party at The Bramble Patch last Friday evening, kindly funded by the Somes Trust; the first of a number of celebrations to say goodbye to our Year 6 children, culminating in the Leavers' Service and Prizegiving to be held in Uffington Church on the last day of term.
There should be just enough time to squeeze in the School Council Cafe for Ukraine and class visits to the Uffington Beekeepers before the end of term!
