On Tuesday, the athletics team performed very well in the Stamford and District Indoor Athletics competition, qualifying for the South West Lincolnshire finals which were held in Grantham on Friday. Twelve children took part in the finals, finishing a creditable third.

The South West Lincolnshire Swimming Gala took place at the Grantham Meres Leisure Centre on Thursday morning. A large number of schools took part and we were pleased to be placed second in the small schools' relays and third overall.

The Football team played St George's after school on Thursday. The boys enjoyed the game but the opposition were strong and we lost 7-3. Well done to goal scorers Archie, Jenson and Daniel and to Arthur who worked hard in goal.

Monday 29th January featured a visit from Shona McCallin, member of the Olympic Gold winning GB ladies' hockey team. This was Shona's second visit to the school, speaking to the children this time about coping with pressure. As part of her visit, Shona also presented our newest Bronze Ambassador with her tee-shirt in recognition of her contribution to school sport. We were also delighted to welcome a camera-man from BBC East Midlands who filmed Shona's visit.

The Football team play St Gilbert's on Thursday.
