This term we have introduced a new approach to learning spelling in Years 2 – 6. Pupils in these year groups will have a daily Active Spelling lesson led by the class teacher. These highly-structured and focused sessions are designed to improve the spelling of all pupils rather than relying on rote learning for weekly spelling tests. Therefore, we will no longer be setting spellings to learn as part of homework. Further information can be found in the letters to parents and carers below.

There is no parents’ evening this term, but you will receive yourchild’s annual report on 10^th July and have the opportunity to discuss this with your child’s class teacher once it has been shared.
