About Us
Uffington Church of England Primary School is a thriving village school enjoying close links with the Church and community. Uffington lies two miles east of Stamford on the A1175. The school is situated in a delightful rural setting; in a conservation area near the middle of the village and at the east end of the church.
The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum to children between the ages of 4 and 11 from the villages of Uffington and Tallington and the surrounding area. The school aims to offer a first class education to all our children in a friendly, caring and challenging environment; an education that sets a high standard of work, behaviour and good manners.
The present school policy is for parents to be offered the opportunity of their children receiving three full years in the infant department. Children can start school the September after their fourth birthday. At the end of the school year in which they are eleven, children transfer to one of a number of local secondary schools.
During the course of the school year regular Newsletters are sent home and there are many opportunities for parents to visit school to meet the staff and Headteacher, whether at Parents' Evenings, Open Afternoons or other special school events. There is also a thriving Parent Teacher Association which organises many fund-raising and social events during the year.
The relationship between home and school is one of partnership and the co-operation and support between both is essential to your child's development at Uffington School. The school will do all it can to provide excellent staff and resources to enable each child to receive a full and balanced curriculum to achieve their potential. In return, the school asks for your support and co-operation during this most important phase of your child's educational development.
