Welcome to a new school year!
A warm welcome to families old and new as we prepare for the new term...
Although the holidays have sped by it does seem a long time since the Leavers' Service and Prizegiving on 20th July and I hope that all our school families have had a wonderful summer.
Over the holidays, staff have worked hard to prepare for the new term and we are now ready to welcome back those children who are returning after the summer and to say a very warm 'hello and welcome' to our new children. We have twelve children joining the Foundation Stage in the care of Miss Waters and her team and we are delighted to welcome a number of older children who will be joining other classes.
In the coming weeks, we will invite parents and carers to attend our annual Curriculum Meetings where teaching staff will explain the plans for the coming year and be ready to answer any questions. An Open Evening for prospective parents will be held after half term.
Finally, we are delighted to announce that Father Aran Beesley has been appointed as Rector of the Uffington Group. His role will include representing the church on the board of governors and leading collective worship on a regular basis; we look forward to welcoming him into our school family. Fr Aran's induction and institution as Rector will take place at 6:30pm on Monday 17th September in Uffington Church followed by refreshments in school.
